My name is Ronnie Holmberg, born in  Malmö 30 juli 1950, since 1976 living at Enskiftevägen 13 in Svedala together with my wife Annie-Marie.

All my life I have been drawing and painting and it was my best subject up through the whole school-time.. My father was a very skilful all-round man who taught me a lot. I am autodidact and I totally rely on my feeling to make the right brush stroke at the right time.

I preferably use oil and acrylic in my paintings but I also use other materials .

Lately my interest for sculptures has increased and the clay feels right for me. Some of them has been caste in bronze.   

I have had many exhibitions over the past years, some of them: Killehuset(Bara), Nevishögs Smedja, Staffanstorps konstförening, Kullasalongen Krapperup (jur.)Garvargården i Trelleborg, Höstrundan 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005. Påskutställningar m.fl. samt företagsvisningar. At the exhibitions 7xHöstljus 2004 and Bingsmarken 2005 I painted in front of audience. Svaneholms slotts museum 2006 Burlövs kommun 2006. 

Visions and future

I mostly pick up my motifs from the nature, yet the last couple of years I have noticed a sharp increase of the interest for my paintings depicting the scenes from what people believed in, in the old days. I have begun writing a book in this subject field.

I always have exhibitions under way, still when you are interested in something special you are welcome to contact me. I am always inspired and  energetic.

As addition to the above mentioned I grow up in a family where someone always played something. My father played the harmonica, guitar, mandolin, piano and more, my mother played piano, my grandfather harmonica, my uncle mouth organ and finally my cousin guitar that's what my inspiration comes from. 

My main instrument today is guitar and singing, sometimes I add the harmonica to make some fun out if it.

My repertoire is ballads from the 19th century till now..............

Folkmusic, Evert Taube, Edvard Persson, 60's, children's song, my own songs and much much more. I am, if I may say, an entertainer and all-round singer.

I have participated in many television and-radio programme and appeared at folk music festivals, companies, gatherings aso always in a serious spirit.................
